Fire at abandoned Strovolos building was arson, fire brigade says

A fire which broke out at an abandoned-three storey building in Strovolos was started deliberately, the fire brigade said on Thursday. Firefighters were informed of the blaze at 2.09am, and it was brought under control by 2.43am. The fire burned piles of waste on the ground floor and the first floor of the building.
