Yellow weather warning issued for storms

A yellow weather warning has been issued for “strong thunderstorms” on Thursday. The warning will be in effect between 11am and 6pm, with the met office saying that at the storms’ peak, rain will fall at a rate of 35 to 55 millimetres per hour. It added that hailstones may also fall during those storms.
